I'm disappointed the Hotel Mallory not longer exists. I just finished reading Dan Savage's "The Kid" - Dan's personal account of him & his boyfriend doing an open adopt through a Portland agency in 1998. Dan & his boyfriend live in Seattle, but they always stayed at The Mallory when attending adoption seminars, meeting with the birth mother who selected them, and even during the birth itself. I loved Dan's account of The Mallory & was hoping to experience its qwirks first hand :(
